Medical Abortion, also known as medication abortion, occurs when pills are used to bring about an abortion. The use of pills such as mpt kit, mifepristone or mifeprex is a safe and effective way to end an early pregnancy. The recommended regimen consists of a combination of medications, starting with mifepristone followed by misoprostol.
